Introducing Mathew Welch, AND Global’s newest executive team addition

We’re thrilled to announce that Mathew Welch is joining our team as Vice President of Financial Services at AND Global and Chief Executive Officer at AND FSG. He wields over 25 years of senior executive experience in financial markets in Asia, most recently as the former Global Head of Banks and Head of Financial Institutions Coverage in Asia at Standard Chartered. At AND Global, he will help lead our efforts to provide millions of underbanked people with access to affordable financial services.

Mathew has conducted business and led teams, transactions and projects in most major Asian countries, inclding Mongolia, Korea and Singapore. His experience covers a diverse range of businesses across Asia, including strategy consulting, investment and wholesale banking, asset management and private equity.

Recognized for his excellent negotiation, influence and consensus-building skills, Mathew possesses rare insight and a strong grasp of Asia’s financial industry. He will help further AND Global’s organizational goals, and advance our business development in overseas markets.

Before joining AND Global, Mathew worked at a variety of financial institutions including Standard Chartered, Temasek Holdings, ING and Daiwa Capital Markets. He was also a founding member of McKinsey & Co’s Financial Institutions Practice in Hong Kong and Singapore.
